Our Story

Founded in 2020, Hidden Beaches Japan emerged from a simple passion: discovering the authentic coastal beauty that lies beyond Japan's well-trodden tourist paths. What started as weekend explorations evolved into a dedicated mission to share these secret paradises with fellow travelers.

Our team has spent years exploring Japan's 29,751 kilometers of coastline, building relationships with local communities, and documenting hidden beaches, remote islands, and charming seaside towns that rarely appear in conventional travel guides.

We believe that Japan's most memorable coastal experiences aren't found in crowded resort towns, but in the quiet fishing villages, secluded coves, and island communities where traditional ways of life continue unchanged by mass tourism.

Born in Osaka, Yuki has dedicated the past 15 years to discovering Japan's hidden coastal gems. Her expertise in remote island travel and fluency in regional dialects helps uncover destinations unknown to most travelers. She has personally visited over 200 Japanese islands.
